Wedding Season 2011
NYC
In early February, I went to NYC to visit Danielle. We had some wedding items to take care of, but mostly, we had some us items to take care of – eating, drinking, shopping, gossiping. The trip was so short but we took advantage of every minute. Here are some photos from the trip:
First stop - Standard Hotel for celebratory mimosas and a people watching brunch.
Saturday night on the town - bar hopping.
At the NY Public Library - getting in touch with our inner Carrie Bradshaw.
Super Bowl Sunday at the Corner Bistro. $2.75 beers and cheeseburgers? Yes please.

May - February
Our engagement has been both the longest and fastest 11 months. During the planning process we have both, at times, decided to elope or postpone the date. Naturally, the times we've wished to postpone have been surrounded by incoming wedding bills...
Below are some of the major highlights:
We were engaged on Friday, May 7, 2010 in Bodega Bay.
We spent the entire weekend with our dogs and later my parents celebrating!!!
On August 21st, Jim and Pele Wyly threw us an engagement party at their home in Thousand Oaks. We were grateful to be joined by Jeff's extended family as well as our Southern California based friends. It was a mini Kappa Sigma reunion.

On October 9th, Keith and Stephanie Thomas threw us an engagement party at their clubhouse in Verdi, NV. Many of my parents friends made the trip from Salinas to celebrate. We were alos joined by our Sacramento friends and teh extended Calistoga family.
The best surprise was both of our brothers were able to make it. Mike flew in from Phoenix and as an extra special treat, Scott flew in from the middle east!!!
Of course, Mike got everyone to play flip cup. We Thomas' keep it classy.
Many of you have asked, and finally, we’re delivering
Let’s just say it took nine months to gather our thoughts.
The advantage of being later in the pack to get married, Jeff and I have received a ton of valuable advice from our friends and family who have all done the wedding planning thing. Everyone seems to say the same thing, “It goes by in the blink of an eye, don’t forget to take a minute and enjoy the process.”
So we listened (better late than never), and have created a blog to chronicle the events that lead us to the big day.
Sit back and enjoy the ride. It's safe to say, we’re pretty excited….
